I was in search of words to be inscribed on the page.
Words to fill the whiteness of paper.
But they seemed redundant.
Instead the page got filled with shapes.
They started swerving.
They changed shape.
They couldn't stand still.
My mind fashioned them into familiar images, and other times into threatening forces.
It didn't matter.
Words gave shape to my memories.
No need to fill the page.
